Exeter College offers tertiary education and higher education in partnership with the University of Exeter, The University of Plymouth Colleges network, the University of St Mark & St John and Kingston University.

Study options include:

The college was set up in 1970 and was the first tertiary college in the UK, combining the sixth forms of Exeter’s former grammar schools and Exeter Technical College. Today the college has approximately 12,000 students coming from within the city of Exeter as well as from across Devon and the south west.

Exeter College has facilities based in the centre of Exeter and in two specialist training centres on the outskirts of the city. Each campus is easily accessible by public transport and is located within close proximity to Downing Student Accommodation’s modern student apartments in Exeter.

Hele Road – Hair and Beauty, Foundation learning and Skills for Life

Queen Street – Music and Performance, Engineering, Media, Art and Design

Exeter Guildhall Centre – Prince’s Trust courses and community outreach programmes

Marsh Barton – Automotive courses

Sowton Industrial Estate – Construction and the built environment

Exeter College students continually achieve pass rates above the national average and the college believes in challenging them to reach their full potential through their individual skills, no matter what they might be.

A range of training opportunities are available through the college’s Business Solutions team including industry connections with the Met Office and as main academic partner to Flybe, they run various courses in the aircraft industry including training to be an air steward or aircraft engineer.
