Can I cancel after booking?
Yes, if you book between 1st October and 31st July for the next academic year starting 1st September, you have 48 hours (2 days) after completing your tenancy agreement to cancel.
You must do so by contacting Downing Students via email within the 48-hour period.
You can also cancel if your circumstances change and you do not get your place at university or your study visa. You must contact us as soon as possible with supportive documentation to demonstrate these scenarios.
How do I choose between cities?
The main factors are your university, budget, and how you want to spend your time outside of studying.
London has the highest costs but the most universities and the most direct access to career opportunities.
Coventry, Newcastle, and Glasgow are the most affordable options.
Edinburgh, Leeds, and Manchester sit in the mid-range. All three have strong university reputations and enough going on that students tend not to feel the need to leave at weekends
