Our properties in Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and has four universities, with combined student population of around 70,000. The University of Edinburgh is consistently ranked in the global top 30, and alongside it, Edinburgh Napier, Heriot-Watt, and Queen Margaret give the city one of the highest concentrations of higher education in the UK. Academically, it’s a serious place.
The Old Town and New Town are both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano, rises out of the city centre. The Fringe runs for three weeks every August and turns the entire city into one enormous venue. Leith, ten minutes from the centre, has quietly become one of the best places to eat in the UK. None of this requires spending much money, which matters.
Downing Students’ New Park has en-suite and studio apartments and is well connected to all four of the city’s universities by bus and tram. The building has a cinema room, a games area, and a rear garden that gets used properly in the summer months.
