Breakfast

Start the day off right with a nutritious spring breakfast. One of our favourite options is this easy to make recipe.

Mocha Oatmeal

This simple high-fuel breakfast takes only minutes to make. Tip is to make it the night before so you don’t have to do anything in the morning. It’s an easy way to combine breakfast and morning coffee in one go and the fibre will help to keep you feeling full throughout the day. Perfect if you are starting the day by a morning routine in your resident gym.  Ready in just 7 minutes, all you need is:

  • 1x banana
  • ½ cup of oats
  • 1x teaspoon of coffee
  • ½ teaspoon of honey
  • 1x cup of water
  • ½ cup of milk of your choice
  • 1x teaspoon of crumbled walnuts

Lunch

Lunchtime is great to celebrate spring with some light spring vegetarian recipes. Try our go to sharing board this spring.

Spring Sharing Board

Sharing boards are a popular choice to include all types of foods. Celebrate spring with some of our favourite spring produce ideas. You can sustainably use what ingredients you have, sharing with your flatmates.

Fresh vegetables – enjoy fresh and crunchy spring vegetables like: radishes, carrots, sugar snap peas and peppers. You can arrange them in a colour co-ordinated and eye-catching way on your board.

Dips & Spreads – humous, tzatziki, or even enjoy a homemade vegetable dip.

Fruit –Spring is the season for fresh berries, so include some strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. You can also include some sliced apples, pears, and grapes for variety.

Nuts & Seeds – Add some crunch to the board with roasted nuts and seeds like almonds, cashews, or pumpkin seeds.

Olives & Pickles – Enjoy some savoury fresh produce like olives and pickles. For example, you can buy supermarket’s own in deli counters or in jars.

Fresh herbs – Add some fresh herbs to the sharing board for extra flavour. Rosemary, thyme, or basil can add a perfect finishing touch to your spring sharing board.

Breads & crackers – Invest in some affordable crackers to use a base for your spring produce toppings.
